11, 12 and 13 March last held the seminar on technologies of spatialisation, meeting scientists, psycho-acoustics and audio professionals. It was a sharing of very interesting information about multichannel sound, a quality network of stakeholders, a very professional organization with conditions tapping and excellent working over here and a great atmosphere!

Here are some lines that summarize the various points, as well as the various speakers and lecture topics.

Different actors and stakeholders
side organizers: AES France, SFA, Orange Labs, University of Rennes 2, IRCAM
side speakers: Ircam, Radio France, France AES, LAM-CNRS, University of York, Delta Denmark, Orange Labs, INA, Paris Conservatoire, CNAM-ENJMIN ...

The main themes of the conference:
spatial perception, methods of evaluating audio systems, ambisonic, higher order ambisonic, MMAD, binaural technology, training and multichannel coherent picture multichannel sound, post production and binaural techniques / transaurales mixed, as the space simulator writing, film and spatialization.

A live recording of three works given in the concert hall of the Drum (University of Rennes) has put into practice the concepts of decision-channel sound: a set of acoustic guitars, a big band and a musical (piano, 3 votes).

Systems in place to capture the event:
- OCTS
- MMAD (7.0, hypocardioides Schoeps)
- S5 (DPA hypocardioides)
- Soundfield ST350
- HOA
- Sound recording binaural (head Neumann, head BK etc ...)

Workshops of plays by small groups of Port H compare these different systems and they have Port H to discuss the validity of each technology, strengths, weaknesses, according to criteria specific to each well.

For more information, the University of Rennes 2 will post some content on its site:
